As a leader in healthcare information technology, Purkinje is committed to helping clinicians do their jobs better every day. The Purkinje team carried out multiple product presentations in Québec healthcare establishments between 2019 and 2021. Each time, the objective was to show how the Purkinje-HM digitalized clinical records solution could save time and reduce manual data-entry errors—all while centralizing patients’ clinical data in one place.
The Chaudières-Appalaches CISSS saw the benefits of this tool and entered into an agreement with Purkinje to deploy the Purkinje-HM digital clinical record solution at the Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis, which is a part of the Chaudières-Appalaches CISSS. The purpose of this large-scale project is to provide this state-of-the-art facility (located in the greater Québec City region) with a next-generation cloud computing solution capable of supporting the entire organization in its care processes.
In July of the same year, the Minister responsible for the Montérégie region, Simon Jolin-Barrette, announced that projects were completed for digitalized patient record solutions for the Montérégie-Centre CISSS and Montérégie-Est CISSS. The Purkinje-HM DCI will be deployed at Hôpital Pierre-Boucher, historically a Purkinje customer, but also at Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne, which is home to the Montérégie Integrated Cancer Centre (MICC).
This marks a decisive turning point in patient care for each of these establishments. In fact, this solution will make it possible to guarantee the coordination of care as well as the management of multiple establishments and the general population. It is revolution for the health sector in Québec.
